Visitor Visas
Visitors visas are a requirement for some foreign nationals who wish to visit or travel through Canada. This depends on your citizenship. If you do not require a visa to travel to Canada, a determination as to whether you will be allowed into Canada will be made upon your arrival to Canada at either the border or airport.
What Is A Canadian TRV (Visitor Visa)?
A Canada Visitor Visa also same as a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or Canada Tourist Visa, is an official document issued by a Canadian visa office that is placed in your passport to show that you have met the entry or eligibility requirements for admission to Canada as a temporary resident (either as a visitor, a student, or a worker).
Types of Canada Visitor Visas
- Visit/Tourism
- Study: This permit allows students to study in Canada for a temporary period of time, and typically indicates the educational institution they are attending and the course of study.
- Work: A Canadian work permit is a visa that gives you permission to take a job within Canada if you are from a foreign country. You usually need a work permit to work in Canada.
- Temporary Resident: Temporary residence status refers to people who wish to come to Canada to visit, work or study. They are coming to Canada for a temporary period and are therefore considered visitors.
- Business: This visa allows eligible applicants to explore dynamic business opportunities throughout Canada as well as experience Canadian culture.
If your application is approved, the visa office will provide you with either a multiple entry or single entry visa. You can then use this visa to travel and enter Canada.
